BALTIMORE A Hagerstown man was sentenced Thursday in federal court to 10 years in prison for conspiring to distribute illegal drugs in Western Maryland, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
The following defendants have also pleaded guilty to charges related to the investigation:
• Jeffrey Perry, 26, of Hagerstown, sentenced Tuesday to seven years in prison and five years on supervised release.
• Kendall Grove-Smith, 26, Frederick, Md., pleaded guilty in September and is scheduled for sentencing Jan. 27.
Proceeds from the drug sales were deposited in banks accounts in Maryland and New Jersey, including an account in Lynch’s name, the release said. The money would then be withdrawn in Texas to purchase more drugs.

During the course of Lynch’s involvement, more than $500,000 was deposited and withdrawn from the accounts, including at least $138,780 that went through his account, the release said.
• Alex Wine, 26, of Hagerstown, sentenced Tuesday to three years on probation.
David Lynch, 26, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute e and marijuana, according to the joint announcement from U.S. Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein and representatives from other agencies, including Hagerstown Police Chief Arthur Smith and Washington County Sheriff Douglas W. Mullendore.
Following his release, Lynch will be on supervised release for five years, the release said.
